Salt Ash is a suburb of Hunter Valley, New South
Wales and is about 136 kms north-northeast of
NSW's capital city of Sydney. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of Salt Ash was 1,099 when
there were 545 Females and 554 Males living
there. The median age for people living in Salt Ash
was 42.
Salt Ash is a rural suburb of the Port Stephens local
government areas in the Hunter Region of New
South Wales, Australia. It is located on the main
road between Newcastle and Nelson Bay but is
largely undeveloped, partly because it is the
location of the Salt Ash Air Weapons Range which
is used by pilots from RAAF Base Williamtown for
training purposes.
